Commonwealth Chorale Update

The Commonwealth Chorale is currently on hiatus, due to the COVID-19 outbreak. This is being done in the interest of safeguarding the health of our audience members and performers.  Our Board of Directors is following the recommendations of health officials and the current literature on safety precautions in dealing with the virus, as they pertains to choirs.  We plan to resume rehearsing and performing when it is safe to do so.  Schedule updates will be posted here, and on our Facebook page.  In the meantime, we wish good health to all!

Honored by the Communities for its outstanding contribution to the culture of Southside Virginia, the Commonwealth Chorale features a wide range of choral music, from the baroque to the modern.

Intense and Exciting

Members take their music very seriously and have a profound experience recreating the music of the great masters . Pictured left to right:  Bob Horn, Alex Haskins, Liz Carson, Meg Sandridge-Mangum.


 Members of the Commonwealth Chorale meet on a weekly basis two months prior to a performance.   Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings, 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. at Farmville Presbyterian Church.

Young Singers

The Chorale invites young people ages 12 and older to participate in many performances.
